Simulation Process of Investment Casting

In the market, we often see various casting processes, such as investment casting, metal casting, sand casting, and so on. Here is a simple introduction for everyone:
Investment casting mainly relies on combining various technologies such as computer numerical analysis and visualization to simulate the forming process of cast steel parts, visually presenting the physical or related defect results during the filling, solidification, and cooling processes of the cast steel parts, making it easier for slag pot foundries to address issues found in the simulation after processing small parts.
Most investment casting technology in the industry is used for small part processing. Its characteristics during simulation mainly reflect that the mold shell has a certain thickness and high-temperature pouring. The finished products are often complex and thin-walled. Therefore, slag pot foundries need to directly solve the following problems during processing:
1. Regarding molding, a geometric model of the mold shell needs to be generated outside the wax pattern assembly;
2. The mold shell is thin with a very high preheating temperature and low heat storage capacity. The pouring temperature will be even higher, so the heat transfer method during solidification should be chosen to suit the current process;
3. Precision products with complex thin walls are common, so during pouring, the heat loss and temperature of the alloy liquid will directly change.
Besides the above issues, when processing large cast steel parts, manufacturers also need to pay attention to whether all operations during processing comply with the specified standards, and proactively prevent possible defect operations or problems to ensure product quality!
