Urgent Safety Meeting

2018-05-20

Before May 19, Zhang Yuqiang, General Manager of Jinjin Heavy Industry, held an emergency safety meeting to give important safety instructions regarding the molten steel leakage incident that occurred on May 17 during the pouring process at a steel plant in Nanyang!
General Manager Zhang pointed out that smelting is the source of casting, and safety production should be controlled from the source. Work should be done with the care of a parent, diligently and conscientiously, always maintaining a sense of crisis.
During the meeting, it was mentioned that although a series of safety hazards occurred during the company's production process previously without causing accidents, they still posed great risks to the company. Everyone should take this as a warning and always remember it; in production, personal heroics in accidents are not needed, but careful attention to every detail and safe production by good workers are required.
It was emphasized that in daily production, safety inspections of ladles, smelting, overhead cranes, pipelines, electrical equipment, etc., must be thorough and vigilant 24 hours a day. Safety is no small matter, and everyone is a key player; daily safety training and standardized operations should be strengthened to raise safety awareness. If any worker shows poor safety awareness or is unsuitable for their position, they should be reassigned or transferred.

Finally, General Manager Zhang listened to feedback and summaries from each workshop leader and pointed out: safety comes first in production, regardless of cost. Accident hazards should be eliminated at the cradle; every employee should happily come to work and safely return home!
