The upper-level expressway begins at Huanghua Town, connecting to the Nantang-Huanghua section of the Ningbo-Taizhou-Wenzhou Expressway Duplex. It crosses the northern mouth of the Oujiang River and terminates at Lingkun Island, linking to the Lingkun-Gexiang section of the Ningbo-Taizhou-Wenzhou Duplex. The route spans approximately 7.9 kilometers, adhering to a dual-lane six-lane expressway standard with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour and a roadbed width of 33.5 meters. The lower deck, Nanjin Highway, connects to the Lèqīng section of National Highway G228 in the north and the Lingkun section of G228 in the south. This 3.9-kilometer section adopts a dual-lane six-lane first-class highway standard with a design speed of 80 km/h and a roadbed width of 32 meters. It stands as the world's first triple-tower, four-span, double-deck steel truss suspension bridge. The Oujiang North Entrance Bridge is currently the world's first three-tower, four-span, double-deck steel truss suspension bridge. It is also the first bridge project in China to apply BIM technology throughout its entire project lifecycle.
