Heat treatment operates on a certain working principle: placing metal products in a medium, heating them to a specific temperature, maintaining that temperature for a period, and then cooling at different rates to alter the surface and internal microstructure of the material, thereby controlling the product's performance. This has been introduced many times before by cast steel manufacturers.
For slag pots to possess mechanical properties, chemical properties, and other mechanical characteristics, besides selecting suitable materials and processing techniques, heat treatment is a crucial measure to achieve these properties. It is widely used in the steel industry, where materials have complex microstructures and can be treated through heat treatment to facilitate control over product structure and performance.
Besides cast steel materials, materials such as aluminum, copper, and magnesium can also undergo heat treatment to change their inherent properties and obtain different performance characteristics. Regardless of the material used to make the product, it must undergo heat treatment before leaving the factory to improve product performance and service life.
