What difficulties are encountered during the production of castings?
2020-09-21
Large foundries inevitably encounter various difficulties during the casting production process, such as process variations, significant temperature measurement fluctuations of various instruments, and weakened signal processing capabilities of equipment.
1. When process variables are within an acceptable range, the entire furnace remains relatively stable. This situation is almost impossible; during pouring, the temperature will also have a range, and this range can still ensure product quality.
2. Signal processing capability: between measuring instruments and control equipment, each simulation-to-digital or digital-to-simulation conversion can easily introduce sources of error, resulting in an analog range that causes insufficient data accuracy.
3. Melting process: a poor melting process has a high probability of causing excessive boiling of high-pressure elements, surface disturbances, or formation of reaction products, all of which are reasons for thermometer errors.
4. The matching among ingots, crucibles, and coils: the three components in the melting system are all important to the melting cycle characteristics. Improper coordination will directly cause slow and uneven melting, local overheating, or splashing, all of which are sources of error for traditional high-temperature thermometers.
